Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) (m/f) 100%

Primary location: London (preferred) or Cyprus (relocation options available)

Reports to: Group CEO

Division: Asset & Wealth Management

About the Role:

This is not a traditional COO role. It is the driving force of transformation: blending operational excellence with digital innovation to build the “operations of the future” — automated, data-driven, scalable, and resilient across all jurisdictions.

You will be the architect of high performance, ensuring our Group operates with precision, agility, and technological leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Execution & Alignment

  • Translate Group strategic priorities into actionable operational roadmaps across regions.
  • Drive the execution of CEO and Executive Committee decisions through measurable KPIs.
  • Ensure consistent delivery standards and operational alignment across all jurisdictions.
  • Report progress and key insights to the CEO and the Board.

Operational Excellence & Scalability

  • Lead process reengineering across front, middle, and back offices.
  • Implement Lean, Agile, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strengthen cost efficiency, productivity, and operational resilience.

Digital Transformation & AI Integration

  • Oversee Group IT, systems, and digital infrastructure.
  • Drive automation (RPA, low-code), data intelligence, and predictive analytics initiatives.
  • Govern data architecture, cybersecurity, and data governance.
  • Measure ROI and ensure adoption of emerging technologies.

Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Oversee implementation of Group-wide policies, frameworks, and operational controls.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across UK, Cyprus, Switzerland, and UAE.
  • Lead risk management, vendor oversight, and business continuity planning (BCP).

Leadership & Cultural Transformation

  • Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and performance.
  • Lead digital change programs and new operating models.
  • Develop key talent, build succession plans, and embed accountability across functions.
  • Foster collaboration between Compliance, Risk, Legal, Technology, Product, and Finance teams.

Your profile:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in financial services operations, ideally within Asset & Wealth Management.
  • Proven success in digital transformation, automation, and process optimization.
  • Expertise managing multi-jurisdictional operations under complex regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong command of operational risk, compliance, and governance.
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
  • Strategic, data-driven thinker with outstanding execution discipline.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

What Makes This Role Unique:

  • Dual focus: Lead current operations while transforming the organization for the next decade.
  • Strategic impact: Turn Group vision into measurable, sustainable results.
  • Global integration: Unite teams and jurisdictions under one coherent operating model.
  • Leadership legacy: Build the technological and cultural foundation for Mevelin Group’s future.
